Hidden Escapes is a private lodge retreat in Carmyllie, Angus fifteen minutes from Dundee and a short drive from the Carnoustie coast.
Created for couples, families and small groups, each lodge is designed as a place to slow down properly quiet mornings, long evenings and weekends with nowhere else to be. Close enough to Dundee, St Andrews and Carnoustie for a day out, yet removed enough to feel entirely your own.
Every part of the stay was shaped around comfort, privacy and calm. Warm materials. Low light. Deep beds. Open-plan living spaces made for long conversations, slow breakfasts and evenings that drift easily into night.
Outside, private hot tubs, wood-clad saunas, dartboards, fun activities and sheltered outdoor spaces open onto the Angus countryside. Inside, everything is considered, but nothing feels overdone. Nothing expected of you for the length of your stay.

Carmyllie, Angus, Scotland — 15 minutes from Dundee, 10 minutes from Carnoustie's championship golf links and the Angus coast, and around 1 hour 15 minutes from Edinburgh.
Yes. Every lodge has a private outdoor hot tub, screened from view of the other lodges and warm whatever the weather is doing.
They're well-placed for it. Carnoustie Championship Links is a 10-minute drive, with the Burnside and Buddon courses next door. Couples and small groups often book Hidden Escapes as quieter accommodation than the on-resort hotel.
Unfortunetly not we do not accept dogs onsite, we have our own animals. This may change in the future but right now we do not accept any animals. If you arrive with an animal, your booking will be cancelled and you will be asked to leave.
Two nights minimum across all our bookings.
The lodge, all linen and towels, fully equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi, hot tub use, fire pit, parking, and all utilities. No service fees, no cleaning fees added at checkout. We do not include Robes as standard these are an optional extra to keep (As we have had so many damaged from Fake Tan etc)
Best price guaranteed when you book direct, no third-party service fees, and a direct line to us for any pre-stay questions. We also offer small extras (pre-warmed hot tub, late checkout where possible) to direct guests first.
Most weekends are taken 6-10 weeks ahead, more during the summer and Open Championship years. Midweek dates and shoulder-season weekends are usually available shorter-notice.
Carnoustie's beaches and golf, the Angus coast (Lunan Bay, Arbroath), Glamis Castle, the V&A Dundee, the Cairngorms an hour north. Plenty for a day trip if you decide to leave the lodge.
